It aims to alleviate pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, and promote relaxation through various techniques such as kneading, stroking, and applying pressure to specific areas. Massage therapy can be beneficial for managing chronic conditions, recovering from injuries, and relieving muscle tension. By improving overall circulation and reducing muscle stiffness, it supports the body's natural healing processes and contributes to a sense of physical and mental relaxation.

Ross is a 3000hr RMT, and a Rapid NFR specialist. He has training in nerve flossing, acupressure, mobilization techniques, hot stone, cupping, and lymphatic drainage. He began his career in manual therapy when his mother was diagnosed with spinal degeneration. Ross learned techniques to relieve her symptoms, and with the help of other therapists, was able to remove her pain. She was able to get back to her normal life with no symptoms or medication. After that, Ross started his education in manual therapy. He is still learning new things and taking new modalities years later.

Ross believes movement is the key to recovery. When a client has pain with range of motion, it can be incredibly hard to follow a recovery plan, or do physiotherapy. Utilizing Rapid NFR not only enhances the restoration of pain-free range of motion, but also facilitates the completion of exercises for enhanced strength and quicker recovery.

In addition, Ross practices muscle energy techniques, hot stone, and Swedish massage, for clients that are more sensitive to touch.

Ross has experience with; pelvic floor, TMJ, vestibular and ocular inflammation, sciatica, frozen shoulder, SI dysfunction, plantar fasciitis, and much more. Ross encourages anyone curious for more information to visit https://www.rapidnfr.com/ to see more information about what a Rapid NFR specialist can do for you.

Pamela Klombies has nearly 30 years of experience practicing physiotherapy in Alberta and Saskatchewan, with a focus on complex pain patterns.

After an emergency spinal surgery 20 years ago, Pamela was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. As an atypical case with a gloomy prognosis, she struggled to navigate the health system herself and experienced “falling through the cracks”. Overtime she built up a multidisciplinary care team of effective specialists and therapists. Eventually, Pamela was able to return to all of the things she enjoys in life, including scuba diving, martial arts, and salsa dancing with her husband.

Pamela’s experience as both patient and physiotherapist have led her to a client-centred approach to care and goal-setting for complex cases. Pamela’s clients often don’t fit into “cookie cutter” protocols, often expressing that their concerns are not been adequately addressed by their health care network. Pamela’s client base tends to have:

complex pain patterns; and/or ongoing issues with head and spine injuries including multiple concussions, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, chronic shoulder, hip or back pain; and/or disorders that may include sleep disruption, an irritable digestive system, fatigue, anxiety, or a dysregulated nervous system During your one-to-one sessions Pamela will: conduct an all-inclusive head to toe evaluation to determine the source of the issue(s). support you in setting and achieving goals (ask yourself: how do I envision myself moving through life and what do I want to see happen?) investigate the connections and repercussions of persistent pain and impairment(s) throughout your body. assess and treat your musculoskeletal system using her extensive background in both the Mckenzie Method and the Mulligan Concept. address your craniosacral system (head, spine, sacrum), neuromeningeal network (autonomic nervous system), abdominal viscera (digestive system), and your lymphatic system using the gentle palpation and manual therapy skills she has attained from the Upledger Institute. if appropriate, she will use acupressure points and K-taping. if desired, she will support you in assembling your own multidisciplinary care team. In her leisure time, Pamela enjoys teaching Zumba, Hatha yoga and Pilates. She loves traveling and hiking with her Australian Mountain Doodles. She enjoys fine hearty meals and playing board games with her family and friends.
